Druid wind vs. fire build

[:1]Pros and cons for both?

I like fire, but I feel like wind is the safest, more commonly used build. I'm wind right now, and I do really like that armor absorb skill, helps me tank quite a bit. I owuld hate to lose that if going fire. Anyways, would like to hear some pros and cons for both! Thanks in advance!|||Hi

The biggest differences is this:

Wind druids can be easier/safer to play as you noticed. They can become relatively stronger with pretty cheap//easy to find gear (assuming you are on the realms and not sp) They are one of the more standard//cookie cutter builds.

Fire druids on the other hand are more of a "quirky" build. Even WITH the best//optimal high end gear possible there damage is fairly weak compared to other builds. There "big" skills are all difficult or impossible to aim effectively so they can require a lot of patience.

That said which is actually a "pro" or "con" just depends on taste and play style. Some people prefer the challenge of the quirkier/weaker builds where strategy tactics and playstyle is just as or even more important than your gear and dislike the "cookie cutters" while others dont like characters so weak that game feels like a grind and prefer characters that can get through the game with fewer headaches.

Kaytie|||Fire Druids will encounter problems when they reach Hell difficulty because many monster there are fire immune. Wind Druids instead won't because since the wind skills deal physical damage (even if they're spells), physical immune monster are uncommon.

If you want to enjoy both builds start as a fire Druid and once you reach Hell respecialize your character as a wind Druid. :)|||Okay, pretty much what I thought as well. Thanks for the answers!
