What is a Ladder Charecter?

Sorry this might have been asked already but i was just wondering what the difference was between a ladder charecter and a reg charecter are?

-Roganator|||Ladder characters will eventually become non-ladder characters because of ladder reset. So really it doesn't matter which one you play.

Though there are a few differences. For example, some runewords are "ladder only". What this means is that you CAN'T make them on non-ladder, but if you have one on your ladder account and there comes ladder reset you'll still have that item on non-ladder.

Also, non-ladder characters can't be on ladder "hiscores".
