Question about abilities stacking when holding two weapons....

[:1]So say I want to build a barb with last wish and grief, will the grief + dmg work for the last wish? Will the crushing blow from LW work for the grief? What stacks for both weapons and what doesn't? Also, on items that provide auras (insight, infinity, dragon, etc) do +all skills items increase the level of this aura?

How can you tell what level an aura an A2 merc is giving you? For example my summoner has a lvl 84 A2 merc with might, is it the same level all game or does it increase with level?

Just trying to figure out some of the mechanics I never really looked into before, thanks all!

Also, is there a way to upgrade a 4os pally shield thats eth that i have without changing the 4 Os or eth mods?|||Things which affect the weapon itself will only work on that particular weapon. That means:

will the grief + dmg work for the last wish?

No

Will the crushing blow from LW work for the grief?

No

Apart from that:

Also, on items that provide auras (insight, infinity, dragon, etc) do +all skills items increase the level of this aura?

No, but e.g. two items which provide the same aura will combine into a single aura of the sum of their levels.

How can you tell what level an aura an A2 merc is giving you?

By looking it up here: http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=306061|||The mercs auras increase in strength as the merc rise in lvl!

Up to lvl 20 aura I think!

peace|||Okay...so will the crushing blow from last wish work when I use smite with my paladin? I ask because it isn't technically the same as using another weapon.|||yeah on-weapon crushing works with smite, which does seem kind of inconsistent since on-weapon enhanced damage doesn't, but anyway, that's how it is.|||I think what he is saying is if you are using two weapons, modifiers like crushing blow ONLY apply to the weapon that they are on. This applies to no one else but characters using two weapons I believe.|||except that with smite you're using your shield as a weapon, yet you get certain modifiers from your regular weapon that apply, but others that don't. +damage applies, but +min and +max don't. crushing blow applies, but %enhanced damage doesn't...

I'm not sure there's an over-arching logic or guiding principle at play there.
