Farming elite items

[:1]Say I wanted to farm some elite items, where I believe killing as many mobs as possible is the only thing to do to up my chance, where would I go for the best chance to find something? I might be wrong, but I'm just thinking a fairly easy area with lots of weak mobs.|||Hi

The best/easiest places to get elite drops (and I assume by "elite" you mean elite level uniques) are the level 85 areas in hell.

The easiest by far is mausoleum in act 1 hell however you wont find big crowds there. Pit in act 1, River of flame act4 and world stone keep act 5 can have the most amount of monsters of the level 85 areas however they can all be much more dangerous. Of those three the pit CAN be the easiest just have a plan to deal with the archers since if anything kills you in the pit it will likely be them.

Also cows still provide the biggest mobs in the game and you CAN find some nice stuff down there but since it isnt a lvl 85 area there wont be any chance for the highest level uniques. But if you want mobs thats the best place.

Kaytie|||Okay, pretty much also what I've been farming. Thanks for the answer though :)|||Not sure if you mean elite white items or the TC 87 uniques. The answer depends on that, and on your build. I'd say that the Ancient Tunnels are the safest spot to farm that has a reasonable density of bosses, with the builds I favor. The Pit is also very good, but can be a bit dangerous if you can't deal with archer packs with mean modifiers- a sorc without CTA/block/damage reduction can die very quickly if there's a bad archer pack near the stairs on the second level.

But if you are looking for whites, and you have a build that can do WSK at a higher player setting/number of players without getting slowed down, WSK is awesome. If you are looking for uniques you should almost always play one player games. If you are trying to generate a lot of drops you should play with the most players you can without slowing kill speed too much.|||The pit is my favorite, as it is area lvl 85, has a packed level 2 with sometimes 4 unique monsters, a gold treasure chest, and is fairly easy compared to some other 85 areas.
