Installed D2 after years of not playing. What's a good build?

I used to play a ton of D2. Seeing all of the D3 trailers and stuff made me nostalgia hard, so I wanna play a bit of D2 again over the summer!

I haven't played in years, and I see we are up to version 1.13c, which is a lot more than when I played. I have no idea what is going on with all of these changes!

What are good builds now a days for someone who has absolutely nothing? I want to PvM, and do all of the hardest PvM Stuff. A link to a few 1.13c guides would be awesome for some of the best builds! Any class will do. "Cookie cutter" builds are good!

The 2nd is a good starting point for your first character. I've always enjoyed Necro's, even though I've only made a couple. Making a Mojomancer (Curses only. Using Iron Golem since I'm SP) and it seems like it'll be a blast. Confusing the monsters to kill eachother and such....

Search Nightfish and Socialism for some good builds. Sorry everybody else, those are the only two I've actually read and followed. NF is more SP centered. Socialisms I think were made for Bnet, but his Harcore Orb/TK blind Teleporter is one of the first characters I made when I started SP and seemed it went great. Until I deeded by messing around like always...

GLHF!|||well you can do hammerdin that is really easy to get items for, or then necro as coju said. doesnt need gear at all. with ce you can kill everything else but boss monsters.

pm me ingame if you play europe ladder softcore.|||I've always had the best luck starting out with a MF Sorc build. Basically get Tal Rasha's set, some nice MF rings and belt / charms, Chance Guards and War Travs. After running Meph a few times you'll get items to trade!
