Spend my gold on what?

What should I purchase my gold on? Gambling?

(Playing solo with my bro)

/noob|||Could you give us a little bit more info? What character classes and builds you are playing? What level and difficulty you are on? These questions will help us decide.

Gambling is a great source for wasting money that you have no real use for though. Just be sure to keep enough to resurrect your mercenary if the need arises.|||Gambling is a great way to get items of a level and class that are not yet for sale at the merchants yet, and you sometimes get nice yellow items.

You could also spend your money on the haremgirls in Lut Gholein, but you'd have a prince to compete with.|||- Gamble away all your gold, except for what's needed to resurrect your merc twice.

- Have Gheed's Fortune in the inventory and equip the Edge runeword while gambling (or shopping), it reduces prices.

- Gamble in hell mode. The chances to get good items aren't any better there, but you can sell the junk for up to 35k.

- It might pay off to use the cube for rerolling sets of 3 rings into amulets and the other way around. I wouldn't do that with those which sell for 20k gold or more, however.

I suggest to add items to your list of items to gamble as follows:

L1: rings (there are a lot of good low-level ones)

87: coronets (so all have a chance for +2 skills)

90: amulets (so 50% of them have a chance for +2) *

92: circlets (so all have a chance for +2 skills) **

93: amulets used for crafting with the same character (so all have a chance for +2 skills when crafting)

*: You will have optimum chances for +2 from L95 on, but it's better not to wait that long.

**: Circlets might be cheaper, but they cannot have more than 2 sockets while a coronet which turns out to be a tiara or diadem can have 3 (magical only).

The harem girls might have have been turned into demons. That could be more fun in the beginning, but they are pretty demanding in the end. It might lead to a bloody mess and involve body parts which you want to keep unharmed under any circumstances.|||Sounds like you had a bad experience. |||Only in RPGs |||I also gamble for certain base crafting items so I know I'm in the right range for particular mods & such - but you will have to read up on that (all info is on this site)|||Gamble of course.|||Make sure you save gold so that you can resurrect your Merc in the future, especially when he/she is a high lvl and it costs tens of thousands each time :)
