How many EL runes would it take to cube up to ZOD?

This has probably been asked a million times. Too lazy to work out the math and I'm sure the answer's readily available here.|||Someone worked out 13 trillion once. In numbers, that's 13,000,000,000. I've never sat down to verify the mathematics, but I'm pretty sure it's at least a metric buttload of Els. :)|||HAHAHA! Wow, and I've been snatching up every single rune I find thinking that only a few more and I might be able to cube up into the HRs soon.......

I can probably cube up to GUL...|||A lot of people think the same way. The exponential factor makes it very agonizing to cube up a HR using runes 5 or 6 levels below it. 4 is still manageable IMO.|||Those who collect low runes (myself included) end up with a steady supply of useful low-mid runes such as Amn, Sol, Shael etc. I think the highest I ever cubed up to was Io.

If you want high runes and aren't afraid of hard work, Hellforge rushing is the way to go. :)|||I collect Ral and up. So far I've cubed around 2 Ko's|||i collect all runes, so far i have 3 lem, 2 pul, 7 io, a lum and a crap load of others. i had 12 thul and 9 or so amns a week ago or so. i often find that when i have gathered a lot of runes, and they are taking a lot of room i start to cube. i have had times when finding 1 el and start cubing have resulted in getting an amn :)|||You could trade shaels, sols, rals, etc for more than you could ever cube em for...|||There is no way I was recalculating this:

To expand on that slightly (yes it's a slow day at work), and here's hoping my math is right:

3 Els = 1 Eld (1)

9 Els = 1 Tir (4)

27 Els = 1 Nef (13)

81 Els = 1 Eth (40)

243 Els = 1 Ith (121)

729 Els = 1 Tal (364)

2187 Els = 1 Ral (1093)

6561 Els = 1 Ort (3280)

19,683 Els = 1 Thul (9841)

59049 Els = 1 Amn (29524)

177147 Els = 1 Sol (88573)

531441 Els = 1 Shael (265720)

1594323 Els = 1 Dol (797161)

4782969 Els = 1 Hel (2391484)

14348907 Els = 1 Io (7174453)

43046721 Els = 1 Lum (21523360)

129140163 Els = 1 Ko (64570081)

387420489 Els = 1 Fal (193710244)

1162261467 Els = 1 Lem (581130733)

3486784401 Els = 1 Pul (1743392200)

6973568802 Els = 1 Um (3486784401)

13947137604 Els = 1 Mal (6973568803)

27894275208 Els = 1 Ist (13947137607)

55788550416 Els = 1 Gul (27894275215)

111,577,100,832 Els = 1 Vex (55788550431) [First HR]

223154201663 Els = 1 Ohm (111577100863)

446308403328 Els = 1 Lo (223154201727)

892616806656 Els = 1 Sur (446308403455)

1785233613312 Els = 1 Ber (892616806911)

3570467226624 Els = 1 Jah (1785233613823)

7140934453248 Els = 1 Cham (3570467227647)

14,281,868,906,496 Els = 1 Zod (7140934455295)

Number in () is the amount of cubing processes required to get the finished product.

Let us assume it takes you 3 seconds to move the runes/gems into the cube and press the transmute button. (I'm averaging time required to mule pieces over to the character as well).

To generate a Thul rune purely from Els it would require only 29,523 seconds, or 8 hours 12 minutes and 3 seconds.

To generate a Vex rune, our first HR, from purely Els it would require 167,365,651,293 seconds, or 5,307 years 47 days 10 hours 41 minutes and 33 seconds.

And just for fun, to create a Zod rune from pure Els it would require 21,422,803,365,885 seconds, or 679,312 years 233 days 44 minutes and 45 seconds.

Personally I have better things to do, how about you? :)|||~ 680000 years, yeah I can do that!
