started a char,experienced big lags,eventualy got dropped, tried to create new game and i dint make it, after i have deleted bnet registry entry i was able to make games but still with annoying and big enough lag for any hardcore char... ie skeles was swinging half screen away from target sometimes, char swing have a small but still very important latency and i was playing alone with a necro and 2 skelies. since starcraft warcraft and D1 works perfect with no lags i need to know if other ppl are having big enough lags to prevent them from going hardcore and since i used to play a lot of single player i cant used to it.. its just no fun for me even for a regular character..i play on europe, if possibly anyone knows any issue about non blizzard official cd key providers (such as login in diffrent time zones) pls let me know..thanks for reading

d2 doesnt require much bandwidth, but is sensitive to lag
check your computer(s) and make sure downloads/uploads and torrents are slowed or stopped
if you are using torrents
use this to check your internet speed

then set the throttles to about 80-90% for up and down
if the key allowed you to install, login to bnet and play its fine
if you get the account/key banned (#), or key is in use by (not you)

Well i actualy forgot to mention that i have typed the /fps command and nothing shows up on screen but it could be cause i typed it in town or blood moor and needed sometime fisrt to become the game permament for allowing commands? only the /help works... whatever i think im loosing faith..though many thanks to you for help|||/fps will work during gameplay and will look like this

I wanna see my mellee necro rise once more hc preety much not with godly gear just with a bonesnap maul upgraded to elite, dim vision and some good micro like was did in sp...but now i wanna a better chalenge to face the so called ubers and possibly if become more social-reach to be in a pandemonium event...but im already dead if im prior to disconnect and with lag that i cant even check how much latency or frames i got...so dark hours like those i start think noobie thinks like ''it must have to do with those chinese cd keys, should i waste 30e more to get one from blizzard and experience the same and go rage?im not begging for help life sucks and then you die i just wanna know if other ppl experience the same and possibly having a cd key not from blizz or even if the /fps command is not working for them eighter.. many thanks to any who replies.|||/fps command only works if you play diablo in window mode, not full-screen.
Click on D2's icon, Properties, Icon tab, Destination should look like this:
"E: \Diablos folder\etc" -w|||/fps will work in all video modes, windowed or not
make sure to type it in the chat box
hit enter
/fps
enter
-w without any other options will force 2d(ddraw) mode
-w -glide will be windowed with glide video mode
-w -d3d will be windowed with direct3d mode
-w -opengl will be windowed with opengl video mode (not supported and very buggy)
i think the command was added around patch 1.10
try updating to 1.13c
http://us.blizzard.com/support/artic...rticleId=20758|||/fps not working by any means though i think its because i deleted battlenet on registry (for helping with lag as a guide says) cant think anything else that makes sence to that..tryed to used to lag and played more these days, still hc necro and closing to diablo and well i hope i want disc the time he uses his lightining hose on me since i have read somewere it can be up to 10s before you totally disc while not having any command on your char but the game is still going during this time...so i hope to die soon and forget about diablo 2
Just tell me is the best connection you can get on battlenet being at least close to the single player experience? do you having any discs? (like 2 on 5 games) and if so would you ever tried hc?
I dont play for ladder or any competion, i go for the chalenge but i want fair odds and if ever failed to blame my playstyle not some illusion on my screen caused by fraps...Im beggining to think that many players might playing on these circumstances, used to it and having fun also?

Quite odd that a pc with 04' hardware and chipsets can slow down a game from back to 00'(though in sp was ok)
