Even better, armor which is socketed that way will get the ethereal bonus a second time, because of a game bug. The recipe for socketing weapons like that isn't subject to that bug, however.|||really?! wow thats great. thanks.|||You should always use the cube recipe to socket Eth Armour. Since the goal is to use it on your merc, you want that "glitch" bonus (which you won't get if you use the quest).
The risk is that you might get the wrong number of sockets
|||i once got an eth Archon, bugged to 1107 defense, but only 1 socket.. lol|||beware superior items and cracked/damaged items do not share the same bug!!!! (and ofcourse already socketed items cannot be socketed again or with extra sockets!)|||What if you repair the eth armor with the cube recipe and then add sockets with the cube recipe? Does it get the bug then?|||I don't think that are are cracked ethereal items at all, but if they exist, the cube recipe would apply the eth bonus a second time as well.
