noob cold soso vs noob light soso

hi all

i wanna ask and discuss, since new season is coming, who's gonna be a better char - a pure cold or light soso - but for noobs!

meaning all skill r 20

this season (3 weeks ago) i created a pure cold to mf and she's doing great in mausoleum and ancients tunnels, andy, and mef(the river trick) - just a bit fcr

with tal rasha(that i got for free - what wont happen the next month) she did it all easly and with some luck and 80 fcr even baal (1 pnt on CL that is 10 with +sk for those skellies) as long as she dont die in the tele.

so at 89 i swiched to lightning - and she became realy realy weaker - and all my skill r 30 - that 7k CL and 17K L

that because almost everybody has 50+ light res in hel

and as a cold soso with 20 skills ur bliz do 3.5k +115 -res that almost alwais about 5k

and if u use light soso u cant mausoleom and tunnels but can eldrich... and countess!! unless there r some archers(LI) (but that a problem for everybody)

another point is that many many bad guys have cold immue and not so many has light immue

i'd like to hear u all, and plz remember that i am one of those that never even seen an enigma, once my life had an ist ect.|||I would start with a cold sorc (blizzard+synergies). Lightning sorcs need more expensive gear while a pure cold sorc just needs a halfway decent merc and can probably do everything but cold immunes with no gear at all. The Tunnels have no cold immunes (except for maybe a few bosses, but there's still your merc). If Pindleskin is cold immune, the sorc kills the minions while the merc cares about him.

Tal's set is more useful for a dual element sorc IMO.|||Heh, Treehead Woodfist might still pose a problem. Or whatever his name was. He was my (very old) windy druid's archnemesis: Physical AND Cold immune.



But yeah, agreed with krischan. A naked cold sorc could still come very far in the game, and with halfdecent gear she could pretty much solo hellmode.

I can't confirm this, but someone mentioned a good cold sorc with +skills on her could solo Dclone fairly easily as well.|||I had some pure cold blizz soso and she was good even on hell.although u cant farm places full of ci.but i think thats no use to max it. i make cold/fire soso with mastery -100%, blizzard just for space dmg and slow down non-ci. main skill ice blast.and i safe enough skill poinst for fire mastery and fireball and meteor. with nice weapon on switch (during ladder i usually drop few pieces of very nice orbs like +3 fire and +fire mastery or meteor...)u can kill almost all relatively quickly. usual mobs round my def merc and i use meteors. against ci unique monsters i prefer fireballs and have no problems.i can go also shenk and eldritch and some places like this...i use this soso for andy,summoner,duri,mefi, chaos and baal.also tunnels and others...
